# 16.2.0: Find elements by role and accessible name with cy.getByRole()

`cy.getByRole()` finds elements by ARIA role and accessible name, the way a screen reader announces them, so you no longer need a third-party plugin for role-based queries. When nothing matches, the error lists the roles and names on the page. Cypress 16.2.0 also makes `cy.go()` wait for the page to load, presents mTLS client certificates again in Chrome, Chromium, and Edge, and stops repeated 2-second request stalls.
