What motivates you to be a Cypress Ambassador?
I became a Cypress Ambassador to be able to learn from those who have experience in Cypress and teach everyone others how to implement Cypress in their companies' product or their own product.
How do you currently help others that are either using Cypress or interested in using Cypress?
I help by writing articles in Medium and Tealfeed, I feel like Medium and Tealfeed are the best place to share knowledge regarding technology especially technology or framework like Cypress because it is continuously updating and adding new features. I share more knowledge on how to make Automation testing much easier.
What is your favorite Cypress feature?
Right off the bat, I would say Cypress's debuggability. With this feature, I am able to know why I am facing an issue or error by opening the developer tools and checking the console log.
What is your favorite "Cypress Best Practice" and why?
Using closures to access and store what Commands I need because coming from a Selenium background I am used to using var, let, and const a lot, luckily with Cypress I do not have to anymore.
Outside of work, what are your favorite things to do (hobbies, passions, etc.)?
I usually go for my number one stress reliever, which is exercise! I either go to the gym, play badminton with friends, or ping pong.
What is one professional milestone you are proud of? (an accomplishment, celebration, recognition, etc.)
I am still in my early stages of being a QA Automation Engineer, so my one professional milestone would be the current project I am working on.Currently, I am moving my company's API testing from one product to Cypress.
For new users - Â what is the best way to "get started" with Cypress?
For me, I was lucky enough to have a great mentor but if you do not have that, then learn by example and application. Which means watch Youtube videos on Cypress and apply it while watching.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
Quality is doing it right, when no one else is looking.
